The United Nations-sponsored Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) is preparing to take a firm line with fund managers who have signed up to the initiative, expelling firms who have failed to meet disclosure requirements.

Chairman Donald MacDonald said on Friday that the UN PRI is 'actively' considering the exclusion of signatories who have failed to respond to a survey which looks at the ESG credentials of the organisation.

He told delegates at the TUC Member Trustee Network conference: 'We will do what we said we will do.'
