Rallies and marches are scheduled to take place across the city
today in honor of May Day, the annual event which pays tribute to labor
unions and immigrant workers.
The rallies include one in Chinatown at 2 p.m. and another in Union Square at 4 p.m.
Among the things the workers are fighting for this year are equal
rights for all workers, a path to citizenship for undocumented workers,
and the repeal of employer sanctions provisions.
