The “green” wave is definitely coming with sustainability and socially responsible investing now entering the American psyche. Today we see environmental, health and social issues as headline themes in the 2008 Presidential campaign. And we see industries shifting rapidly to address these rising priorities. Large and small companies alike are talking increasingly about their “sustainable strategies,” how their programs and initiatives will enhance the world in which they operate and we all live in. The media has seized upon the issue and daily lead stories, special news segments and front cover attention are spreading the conversation from Wall Street to Main Street.
