President Bush has just signed the Green Jobs Act of 2007, authorizing $125 million for green job training programs across the country. The Green Jobs Act is part of the new Energy Bill.

The act will provide $125 million per year for green jobs training, $25 million of which must be used for creating pathways out of poverty for low-income adults. It will provide funds to identify and track the new jobs and skills needed to grow the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries.
