The idea of carbon neutrality is gaining popularity. Recent years have seen the rapid growth in the Australian carbon offset market as growing concerns about climate change have come to permeate all levels of government, business, and the community.At the same time there has been a blurring
of the difference between carbon offsets and carbon neutrality. The former can offer partial and
often delayed offsets to today’s emissions; while the latter is more about a comprehensive program
involving a number of strategies to achieve the broader goal of carbon neutrality.
