Pepsi has introduced new technologies such as air-rinse technology to clean newly manufactured bottles with air instead of water. The company's Walkers potato chip brand in the U.K. has reduced the amount of water used per kilogram of product by 42% between 2001 and 2007, saving half a billion gallons of water over the last two years, according to Pepsi.
