The entire Holy Cross
Neighborhood in New Orleans’
Lower Ninth Ward is making a move to rebuild their community in a sustainable
way. They are calling the project
“sustainable preservation” and hoping that they can restore their neighborhood
to better than it was before.
From March 8 through the 23rd, hundreds of people from all over the country
will volunteer their energy and ideas for rebuilding in a historic opportunity
to integrate sustainable practices with the preservation of a historic
place. To find out more about how you
can help create the nation’s first carbon-neutral community, visit historicgreen.org.
